Job Description

We’re looking for a Communications Manager to amplify our brand voice and drive engagement across owned, earned, and social channels. You’ll develop compelling content for social media, press, and internal communications—helping Drata build deeper connections with reporters, customers, partners, and employees.

You’ll work at the intersection of Marketing, PR, and Content—ensuring our storytelling is consistent, timely, and aligned across all communications touchpoints. East/Central Time Zone Preferred.

What You’ll Do
  • Support media relations by assisting with press outreach, drafting releases, thought leadership, speaking/awards, and maintaining relationships with media and industry influencers.
  • Plan, create, and publish engaging content across LinkedIn, Twitter, and other key platforms to drive engagement and brand visibility.
  • Assist with internal updates, announcements, and other communications for employees and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with content and design teams to create on‑brand creative assets for social and comms initiatives.
  • Track engagement, audience growth, and sentiment, providing insights to inform social media strategy.
  • Coordinate communication plans for product launches, company milestones, and thought leadership initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities for Drata to engage in timely, relevant conversations in the security and compliance space.
What You’ll Bring
  • 3–5 years of communications, PR, or social media experience, preferably in B2B tech.
  • Strong writing and editing skills with the ability to adapt tone for different audiences.
  • Hands‑on social media experience, including content creation, community management, and analytics.
  • Basic understanding of PR and media outreach, with experience supporting press initiatives.
  • Collaborative approach and ability to work cross‑functionally with content, design, marketing, and executive teams.
  • Highly organized with strong project management skills and attention to detail.
  • Passion for storytelling and building relationships with online audiences.
Benefits
  • Healthcare: 90-100% paid premiums for medical, dental, and vision plans for employee and dependents + on demand health care concierge.
  • HSA, FSA, & DCFSA: Pre‑tax savings plans for healthcare and dependent care, with up to a $600 annual employer contribution to the HSA plan (if enrolled in HSA medical plan).
  • 100% paid short and long term disability plus life + AD&D benefits.
  • Learning & Development: $500 annually towards professional development opportunities + $250 annually towards personal development opportunities.
  • Flexible Time Off: Flexible vacation policy for strong, fully charged batteries.
  • 16 Weeks Paid Parental Leave: An inclusive policy to ensure you have time with your newborn, newly adopted, or foster child (available after six months of employment).
  • Work Remotely: Flexible hours and work from home + $1,000 annually to cover necessary business related items for your home office.
  • 401K: Reach your financial goals while reducing your taxes.
