Location Highlights
Redding offers access to Northern California landmarks and outdoor recreation within minutes of the city. Sundial Bridge and Turtle Bay Exploration Park are both located in Redding, and Whiskeytown National Recreation Area is about 15 miles west for kayaking, hiking, and lake access. Lassen Volcanic National Park is about 60 miles east, and Shasta Lake sits roughly 10 miles north, making the area a fit for travelers who prefer mountain scenery and weekend outdoor trips. Downtown Redding includes the Cascade Theatre and local dining districts, and Interstate 5 provides direct regional access through the city for travel within Northern California.
